Nearshoring to North Africa: the Tunis advantage.

Why companies scaling in Africa are building delivery and support bases in Tunisia.

Start with the work to be delivered

A delivery base should answer an operational need: customer support, business operations or a dedicated delivery team. Define the service, language requirements, seniority and management responsibilities before comparing locations. The objective is dependable delivery, supported by a team whose remit is clear.

Tunis is a practice in its own right

Clovantis’s Tunis presence supports development in Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritius and South Africa. An African mandate can be carried out independently of a Gulf project. A European business does not need to create a Dubai entity in order to discuss a delivery base in Tunis.

Build, operate, then transfer

In a Build-Operate-Transfer engagement, agree the service scope, responsibilities and handover criteria before setup. Recruitment, documentation and management routines should support the eventual transfer. The client should know what will be handed over, what evidence demonstrates readiness and who will take ownership.

Assess the full cost and the management model

Include local leadership, training, equipment, service quality and transition effort in the decision. We do not promise a standard percentage saving: the case depends on the roles, scope and operating assumptions. A combined Gulf and Tunis setup is considered only when it serves the company’s strategy.
